Beginner Piano Summer Camp

Welcome to Beginner Piano Camp, the perfect introduction to the wonderful world of piano! As a parent, you want your child to build new skills and gain confidence in a supportive and fun environment, and this camp is designed to do just that. Your child will learn the basics of piano playing, including proper hand placement, simple melodies, and beginner rhythms, all in a hands-on and engaging setting.
With guidance from our experienced instructors, students will explore music fundamentals while building confidence and discovering their own musical potential. By the end of the week, they’ll perform the pieces they've learned in our Friday Showcase for family and friends!
Music Discovery Summer Camp - Super Heroes!

Unleash your inner hero in Music Discovery - Super Hero Mania! This camp takes kids on an exciting musical adventure inspired by the action-packed world of superheroes. Campers will learn iconic themes from superhero movies while experimenting with different instruments and rhythms.
Through hands-on activities, students will explore the fundamentals of music and teamwork, all while channeling the power and bravery of their favourite heroes. The week wraps up with a supercharged performance that showcases their new skills and musical courage.
Pop Star Academy Summer Camp - Sing & Dance

Dream of performing like a pop star? Pop Star Academy camp lets kids experience the thrill of singing and dancing to their favourite hits. With real microphones and stage techniques, campers will learn the ins and outs of performing like their idols.

Guided by expert instructors, students will master fun choreography and vocal techniques, culminating in a high-energy showcase at the end of the week. It’s the perfect opportunity to shine on stage and build confidence through music and movement.

Music Discovery Summer Camp - Movie Tunes

Enter the magical world of music and movies with Music Discovery - Movie Tunes! This camp invites kids to explore their favourite cinematic melodies, from epic Star Wars scores to enchanting Disney classics.

Campers will experiment with a variety of instruments, learning the basics of rhythm, melody, and teamwork while bringing these iconic tunes to life. Guided by skilled instructors, students will build their confidence and musicality throughout the week. The camp concludes with a show-stopping performance featuring the beloved music of the silver screen.​

Feel the rhythm in Beginner Percussion Camp, where kids get hands-on with drums, bongos, djembes, and more. This camp is all about energy, exploration, and learning the fundamentals of rhythm and timing.
With guidance from our skilled instructors, students will experiment with a variety of percussion instruments, working together to create dynamic ensemble performances. The week concludes with a lively showcase where campers demonstrate their newfound skills and teamwork.
Beginner Ukulele Summer Camp

Step into music with Beginner Ukulele Camp. Kids learn the basics of ukulele through hands on playing each day. They practice pop tunes and familiar songs kids recognize and enjoy. Each student builds skills they take home and keep playing long after camp ends.
Instructors guide campers in a fun, supportive setting. Kids play together, build confidence, and learn how to perform as a group. The week ends with a live showcase where campers perform their songs for family and friends.
Music Discovery Summer Camp - Around the World
Dates: August 17-21
Ages: 5 to 7

Take a musical journey in Music Discovery Camp - Around the World, where kids explore instruments and songs inspired by global cultures. From the rhythms of Africa to the melodies of Asia and Latin America, campers will experience the vibrant sounds of the world.

Through hands-on activities and musical games, students will develop rhythm, teamwork, and an appreciation for music’s universal language. The week ends with a colourful showcase featuring music from around the globe.

We're always looking for individuals to join our team of dedicated music educators during our music camps. By volunteering at Long & McQuade Richmond Hill's music camps, you can:
