Weeks 1 & 2

 Rhythm Instruments

Start strong with drums, maracas, castanets, claves, and djembes. Kids will build coordination, internal pulse, and a sense of groove through fun rhythm games and group jams.

Weeks 3 & 4

Pitched Percussion

Introduce melody with xylophones, boomwhackers, and handbells. Students explore pitch, scales, and teamwork as they create simple tunes and harmonies together.

Weeks 5 & 6

Piano

A classic intro to melody, rhythm, and hand coordination. Kids try both hands on the keys and explore musical storytelling on one of the most versatile instruments.

Voice

Kids build confidence through singing games, pitch-matching, and storytelling with their voice. A joyful way to develop ear training and expression.

Ukulele

Small hands meet small strings! Students learn beginner chords and strumming patterns while singing along to their favourite songs.

Weeks 11 & 12

Acoustic Guitar

Kids explore finger picking and rhythm on the acoustic guitar. A great intro to foundational skills that transfer to many other string instruments.

Electric Guitar

A taste of rock ‘n’ roll! Students plug in, explore tone and sound effects, and get a hands-on feel for this high-energy instrument.

Recorder

A fun and accessible wind instrument that builds breath control, note reading, and tone production. Great for young learners to understand melody and phrasing.

Violin

One of the most expressive instruments. Kids try bowing and plucking while learning posture, pitch accuracy, and control.

Wrap up with the full kit! Students learn about rhythm patterns, coordination, and how the drum set drives modern music across all genres.
