What Is Rock Skool?
Rock Skool at Long & McQuade Richmond Hill is a dynamic, performance-based rock band program where students learn to rehearse, perform, and grow together as a band. Designed for kids, teens, and young adults who are already learning an instrument or voice privately, Rock Skool takes your musical education to the next level.
From playing your first chords with others to locking into a groove on stage, students experience the full journey of what it means to be in a real band—while learning invaluable skills in teamwork, performance, and musicality.

Who is Rock Skool For?
Learn. Perform. Shine.
Private Lessons Are Only the Beginning
Learning an instrument one-on-one is powerful—but music is meant to be shared. Rock Skool bridges the gap between private instruction and real-world performance. Students apply their technical skills in a live group setting where they learn to listen, collaborate, and lead.
Perform Like a Pro
Group Lessons
From our state-of-the-art Music Hall to stages across Richmond Hill and the GTA, students in Rock Skool perform regularly in front of live audiences. These shows give young musicians the confidence, experience, and excitement that fuels long-term engagement with music.
Band Chemistry Is Everything
Students develop communication, respect, and timing—key skills not just for music, but for life. Rock Skool creates an environment where friendships form, confidence grows, and music becomes a team sport.
Rock Skool Experience Includes
