Long & McQuade Richmond Hill is excited to offer a diverse lineup of summer camps for students of various ages and skill levels. Our summer music camps are designed to spark creativity, provide high-quality education, and immerse students in a week of enriching musical activities and creative free play.

This year's options include our popular Music Discovery Camps, featuring themes like Movie Tunes, Superhero Mania, and Around the World, where young campers explore music through fun, imaginative experiences. We also offer beginner piano, percussion, and musical theatre camps, perfect for students learning the basics of these disciplines. For those dreaming of stardom, our Pop Star Academy (sing/dance) is the ultimate stage experience.

For older students, our advanced piano camps—Pop Icons and Idols and Piano Remix—challenge budding pianists to take their skills to new heights, while our songwriting camp lets aspiring musicians craft their own original music.

Music Discovery Summer Camp - Movie Tunes

Enter the magical world of music and movies with Music Discovery - Movie Tunes! This camp invites kids to explore their favourite cinematic melodies, from epic Star Wars scores to enchanting Disney classics.
​
Campers will experiment with a variety of instruments, learning the basics of rhythm, melody, and teamwork while bringing these iconic tunes to life. Guided by skilled instructors, students will build their confidence and musicality throughout the week. The camp concludes with a show-stopping performance featuring the beloved music of the silver screen.

Please note, the June 30 to July 4 camp ($294) is a 4-day camp due to the Canada Day Holiday (closed July 1).
Beginner Piano Summer Camp

Welcome to Beginner Piano Camp, the perfect introduction to the wonderful world of piano! As a parent, you want your child to build new skills and gain confidence in a supportive and fun environment, and this camp is designed to do just that. Your child will learn the basics of piano playing, including proper hand placement, simple melodies, and beginner rhythms, all in a hands-on and engaging setting.
With guidance from our experienced instructors, students will explore music fundamentals while building confidence and discovering their own musical potential. By the end of the week, they’ll perform the pieces they've learned in our Friday Showcase for family and friends!
Advanced Piano Summer Camp - Pop Idols and Icons

Welcome to Advanced Piano Camp - Pop Icons and Idols, where budding pianists take their skills to the next level by exploring the music of legendary pop stars!
Your child will learn to play iconic pop songs from their favourite artists, working on technique, expression, and performance skills. Our experienced instructors will guide them through hands-on activities to refine their playing, helping them bring these beloved tunes to life. At the end of the week, students with show off their new repertoire in our Friday Showcase , a performance that celebrates their progress and passion for music.
Beginner Musical Theatre Summer Camp

Step into the spotlight with Beginner Musical Theatre Camp! This camp invites kids to explore the world of musical theatre by learning the basics of acting, singing, and dancing. Over the week, campers will work together to rehearse a fun and lively performance featuring songs and choreography.

Unleash your inner hero in Music Discovery - Super Hero Mania! This camp takes kids on an exciting musical adventure inspired by the action-packed world of superheroes. Campers will learn iconic themes from superhero movies while experimenting with different instruments and rhythms.
Through hands-on activities, students will explore the fundamentals of music and teamwork, all while channeling the power and bravery of their favourite heroes. The week wraps up with a supercharged performance that showcases their new skills and musical courage.
Beginner Percussion Summer Camp

Feel the rhythm in Beginner Percussion Camp, where kids get hands-on with drums, bongos, djembes, and more. This camp is all about energy, exploration, and learning the fundamentals of rhythm and timing.

Pop Star Academy Summer Camp - Sing & Dance

Dream of performing like a pop star? Pop Star Academy camp lets kids experience the thrill of singing and dancing to their favourite hits. With real microphones and stage techniques, campers will learn the ins and outs of performing like their idols.
Guided by expert instructors, students will master fun choreography and vocal techniques, culminating in a high-energy showcase at the end of the week. It’s the perfect opportunity to shine on stage and build confidence through music and movement.
